Cloud
Strife - Final Fantasy VII
Fights Sora under Hades orders, who
claimed he could find his "light" for him. Cloud denies all of Hades help
in the end and becomes allies with Sora. He plays a bigger role in KH2,
being that Sephiroth is actually in the game, not an extra boss fight at
the end. Cloud still searches for Sephiroth.
Aerith
Gainsborough - Final Fantasy VII
Tells Donald and Goofy of Ansem and
his reports that have been scattered over different worlds. She doesn't
seem to have much of a fighting ability, but she encourages her friends
and cheers them on. She and Cloud seem to have some history together, but
not romantically. Aerith is the one who confirms that Clouds "light"
Sephiroth.
Yuffie Kisaragi -
Final Fantasy VII
Sora
meets Yuffie soon after he is transported to Traverse Town. Leon and
Yuffie tell Sora about the Keyblade and why the Heartless are after him.
She makes several appearances in tournaments and throughout the game. In
KH2 she and the gang have created a Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee.
Squall Leonheart
(Leon) - Final Fantasy VIII
Squall or Leon as he likes to call
himself is met by Sora along with Yuffie in Traverse Town. He and Yuffie
then tell Sora about the Heartless and his Keyblade. It seems that Leon
knows a lot about the Heartless, considering that they destroyed their
world. He calls himself Leon because he is ashamed by his old name,
because he couldn't save his world and the people, so he abandoned his old
name and took on Leon instead. He is very informative and gives Sora a lot
of information throughout KH1 and KH2.
Cid
Highwind - Final Fantasy VII
Sora meets Cid during a
small invasion of the Heartless in Traverse Town. Cid and the others help
Sora fight the Heartless and help him find his friends. Cid never actually
fights in KH1 or KH2, but he helps out with Hollow Bastion's Security
System in KH2. He seems to to have a few complications with computer
though. In truth, Cid is actually a Gummi Ship constructor, and he sells "Gummi
Blocks" at his shop in Traverse Town. Cid also seems to be a bit rude at
times, though it only seems to be in a joking manner.
The King
The King is the ruler of
Disney Castle. He's also the one who asks Donald and Goofy to find Sora.
It turns out that The King knows a lot about what has been going on, and
is trying to stop the Heartless from taking anymore Worlds than they
already have. His identity is unknown in KH1, but he is revealed in
KH2...although it's pretty obvious of who he is anyway.
Donald
Duck - The King's master of
magic and loyal friend, Donald Duck goes on the quest to find the keyholes
with Sora so that he and Goofy can find The King. Donald is temperamental
and often gets into small arguments with Sora.
Goofy
- The King's head of defense and good friend, Goofy, along with Donald,
also goes on the quest for the keyholes for the same reason as Donald of
course. Goofy is very kind and sometimes just a little slow on the uptake.
He gets along with Sora better than Donald does.
Cloud
