Location: Destiny Islands Status: Main Character and Keyblade Wielder Personality: A juvenile day-dreamer with a good sense of justice.
Throughout the story Sora and his new friends meet new allies, such as Aladdin, Jack Skellington, Ariel of Atlantica, Hercules, Peter Pan, Beast, and many others in their travels. Sora and his crew go out into other worlds and seal the keyholes, which are supposedly supposed to stop the Heartless from entering that world anymore. Sora also goes through some dramatic cut-scenes with Riku, who claims that Sora is no longer searching for Kairi and would rather hang out with his new friends. However, that isn't true at all, and Sora plans to prove his loyalty to Kairi! Near the end of the journey, Sora arrives at Hollow Bastion where Maleficent, Riku, and the kidnapped Kairi are waiting. There he meets Beast who is searching for Belle, who has also been kidnapped. He also sees Riku again, only this time, Riku takes his keyblade! Feeling helpless, Sora asks for Beast's help for the time being, Beast accepts and they head on into the Castle that stands atop of Hollow Bastion. Here, they are met with new and stronger Heartless, defeating the Heartless, Sora and Beast, as well as Donald and Goofy, go into the chapel of Hollow Bastion where they are met with the evil Maleficent. Sora takes her down, and she escapes into a dark portal where Sora is encountered with her dragon form! This battle is difficult, but he finished her off for what seems to be for good. But the nightmare isn't over, because now he has to fight Riku, who's changed his appearance and he has a Keyblade all his own! Sora defeats Riku, and goes to Kairi who has lost her heart. Or so Sora thinks.... Riku tells Sora that Kairi's heart is within Sora, that their hearts are connected. Sora, a little hesitant to believe Riku, thinks that he's lost Kairi, until he hears her voice in his head. He then decides to save Kairi by taking his own heart and giving it to Kairi. Sora becomes a heartless and limps his way to Kairi, and is almost destroyed, but Kairi sees through the Heartless that is Sora, and he returns to normal. Sora now has to go find Ansem, the man who was pulling the strings behind Riku the entire time. Ansem is the one who started this, but now Sora was going to finish it! After meeting all the princesses and reuniting with Leon and his gang, Sora then goes to find Ansem who has taken shelter in End of The World, a world where all lost worlds meet. After going through some puzzling challenges, he finally meets Ansem, who looks like Riku, and they're on the Destiny Islands! Sora runs to "Riku" only for him to vanish, and the real Ansem takes place, distorting the "Destiny Islands" in the process. This where the start of the final battle begins. Sora defeats Ansem in the fake Destiny Islands, only to be taken to a dark world where Ansem has fused with a giant Heartless ship! Through tricks and troubles, Sora eventually takes down Ansem, and opens the door to Kingdom Hearts which Ansem believes is darkness, but Sora knows that Kingdom Hearts is in fact light. With Ansem gone, Sora sees the silhouette of the King on the other side of the door, and he also sees Riku who says "Take care of her" and the door closes, trapping Riku and The King inside. Distraught, Sora is upset, but leaves anyway, knowing that Kairi is waiting for him. Kairi and Sora meet, but the reunion is short, because Sora now, must go on and search for Riku, so that they can all be together on the Destiny Islands. Sora's search for Riku and The King takes an unusual turn as he appears in front of Castle Oblivion. This is where Sora's next adventure takes place. Inside Castle Oblivion, he is met by a mysterious, hooded figure who says to Sora that Sora is steadily losing his memories! Sora tries to remember Kairi, but can't, all though he seems to be remembering a girl in a white dress. This girl happens to be Naminé, the White Witch. While Sora battles heartless and meets the memories of the people he knew, there's deception in the air, as Organization XIII is lurking around. What's more troublesome is that there seems to be treason within the Organization. Marluxia, number XI of Organization XIII, is using Naminé to mess with Sora's memories so that he can take over the Organization. Helping him is Larxene, number XII, and Axel, number VIII. Through all of this trouble, Sora does finally meet Riku, or is it really him? The Riku sounds nothing like the Riku Sora knew, but still Sora doesn't quite know what is what. The real Riku is also in Castle Oblivion, after trying to defeat Ansem for good, however it doesn't go quite as planned. Through his travels with The King, they separated, so Riku is also trying to find him as well. The Riku Sora saw was a replica created by Vexen, number IV of the Organization. In the end Zexion, Vexen, Lexaeus, Marluxia, and Larxene are all eliminated from existence. Some destroyed by Sora and some by other members of the Organization. Sora never does find Riku so they can go back home, for he is put into a deep sleep, his memories gone. It's a year after the happenings of
Castle Oblivion, and the story starts out in Roxas's view, as he hangs out
with his friends, Hayner, Pence, and Ollette. He lives in Twilight Town,
and things seem to be going normally. It's after a few days that
mysterious beings appear in front of Roxas. Axel also comes to visit Roxas,
saying that they used to be friends, but trying to destroy him at the same
time. It's only until Roxas visits Naminé, that he realizes that his days
as a living shell are over. She tells him about being a nobody, and that
he was never supposed to exist. In the end, after six days from when the
story began, Roxas is gone, and Sora has awakened. Sora starts off his journey in Twilight Town, going over to a very narrow, and very tall tower. This where they first meet Pete, Maleficent's lackey. After a most annoying encounter with Pete, Sora, Donald, and Goofy reach the top of the tower and meets Yen Sid, a great sorcerer who has the knowledge Sora needs for this journey. Yen Sid tells Sora of these Nobodies, and Organization XIII. Sora blasts off for another world after Yen Sid is finished talking, and after he as gotten himself a new outfit, equipped with magic. However, Maleficent is back, and this time she'll be harder to get rid of. After meeting with old friends again, Sora is off once again to seal the keyholes of the worlds left open to the heartless. This time though, he also has to fight nobodies, as well as deal with Organization XIII who is down to seven members since Chains of Memories. Sora also meets old allies and new ones, such as Mulan, Jack Sparrow, and Auron, and the old ones like Aladdin, Simba, Beast, Ariel, Jack Skellington, and Hercules. The first member of Organization XIII, Sora takes out is Demyx, number IX of the Organization. Sora defeats him in battle after Demyx gives it all he's got. Sora first met Demyx in The Underworld, but destroyed him in Hollow Bastion. He then takes out Xaldin, number III of the Organization, at Beast's Castle. Xaldin was trying to turn Beast into a heartless so that they may obtain his Nobody. Sora beats Xaldin through the help of The King, and continues on with his journey. When Sora eventually goes back to Twilight Town, he finds out that there are actually two of them! One is a duplicate of the real one created DiZ to keep Roxas from the Organization so that they can return Sora's memories. He goes to the real Twilight Town, and finds a dark portal that leads him to The World That Never Was. It is here that Sora must end it all with Organization XIII. It is here that Kairi is being held prisoner at the Organization's base, and it is here that the three friends who were apart from one another will be together again. When Sora and the others go through the portal, they are met by many nobodies, but Axel seems to be on their side, he helps take them out, but during the last bit of the fight, he gives it his all, but by doing that he slowly fades away to nothing. After that, Sora, Donald, and Goofy go through the portal that leads them to The World That Never Was. The three heroes, Sora, Donald, and Goofy, travel through the streets of The World That Never Was, and come to Organization XIII's base. A massive structure, with revolving rings around it and the eerie, heart shaped moon in the background. When inside they fight through many Nobodies until they are in a room with what looks to be like gravestones. These gravestones belong to all the members of Organization XIII. The ones in red and broken, belong to those who had been destroyed earlier, however it seems that a few are left standing, with a portal leading to the battlefield that Sora will fight them on. A little before that though, Sora is reintroduced to Xigbar, number two of the Organization. Xigbar, being his normal rude self starts a battle with Sora using his two sniper rifle like weapons to try and defeat Sora. This comes out as a failure, for Sora ends Xigbar's life as a Nobody instead. Saïx and Luxord are Sora's last opponents before his final battle with Xenmas. Saïx, using his powers of the moon, is eliminated by Sora, even after pleading to the heart shaped moon to give him his heart. Luxord, after turning their battle into a time-controlled card and dice game, is defeated by Sora, and fades off into nothing. Now with no one else standing in Sora's way, it is time to end the reign of Organization XIII once and for all. Sora meets Kairi again for the first time in a long time, but Kairi is standing next to someone, and he looks just like Xehanort! It turns out to be Riku, who through the darkness, has been able to take the form of the darkest person he knew. Sora, a little hesitant at first doesn't quite believe him, but Kairi insists that it is Riku, because it really is Riku! After the lovely reunion, the group heads upwards to where Xenmas is at. As they travel up, they see The King, and Ansem the Wise, who is trying to capture the hearts that were collected by the Organization. Ansem the Wise stated that he is a fool for trying to calculate the hearts potential and says that the heart cannot be collected as data. The machine explodes and Ansem is gone, but the explosion has caused Riku to change back to his old self! The group reaches the top and see Xenmas, who has been angered by what Ansem had done. When the machine exploded, the hearts it had tried to collect all fell from the moon and went back to where they had belonged. Xenmas, feeling like it is his last option, goes to the moon and goes through the door to Kingdom Hearts. Sora and Riku go after him and together they deal with many different battles, but in the end, they destroy Xenmas, and all hopes of Organization XIII. It is seen after the battle, that Kairi and the others have gone home, while Sora and Riku are sitting on the shore of a desolate beach. A message is a bottle washes up from the waters, and Sora picks it up. I it's from Kairi, and it's the message that she had thrown out to sea days before. While he reads it, a door like portal shows up in front of him and Riku, nodding in agreement, they go through not knowing where the portal will take them. It takes them home, well in the water a few yards away from home, but they swim to the shore of the island where Kairi is waving at them. When they reach the shore, Goofy, Donald, and Mickey (The King) jump from behind Kairi and greet Sora and Riku. Sora gives Kairi back the star that she had given him in KH1, and you see Sora and Roxas looking at Kairi who in Naminé, they smile and then Sora and Kairi are looking at each other again. After the credits go, Sora, Riku and Kairi, who are safe on their island together, receive a message from the King, and that is the end of KH2.
